Belonging to the WHS Orchestra is joining a tradition of excellence in musicianship and friendship.

Orchestra students begin in Concert Orchestra and ascend to Symphonic Orchestra and may

audition for admission into Chamber Ensemble. In addition, there is a featured ensemble
Strings Attached that focuses on more difficult string music. WHS orchestra partners with its feeder schools to promote stringed instrument study as young as fifth grade. Orchestra is proud to participate in Large Group Performance Evaluations and routinely scores superiors and excellents in musicianship and performance. Students also may participate in Solo & Ensemble, District Honors Orchestra, and other opportunities in the university system, such as performing at Kennesaw State University.
