21st century music education takes a leap forward in Chorus.

We treasure the traditional and we are openly embracing the future.

On the traditional side, students will learn the basics of reading music and sight singing. We actively participate in GMEA activities including Honors Chorus, All State, and Large Group Performance Evaluation. In addition, we also participate in GHSA Literary Meet. As we lean into the future, we are looking toward new horizons in commercial vocal styles, supporting singer/songwriters, and creating school-based opportunities that simulate the recording experience and music business. We will be launching ROAR Radio in 2023-2024 to feature all of our music and theatrical talent at Whitewater High School. This online radio station will feature WHS student talent in a way
that upbuilds our Fine Arts Department within the greater community.

Recent accolades include quadrupling the number of students who participate in All-State with two students scoring perfect, Women's Chorale earning straight superiors, and all other ensembles being ranked as superior and excellents. The Women's Trio won the Literary Competition in February 2023. In addition, numerous students have been asked to perform in a variety of community events, including singing the national anthem at athletic events, charity galas, and music theater opportunities.
